Documented by Kvdpro
How does a Kvdpro documentation work?
If you, as a selling customer, choose to document your item it undergoes a so-called "Kvdpro documentation". The documentation is written down on an iPad by Kvdpro's own professional technicians, sales representatives or partners. In the case of a documentation, the seller describes the condition of the object to Kvdpro’s personnel. Due to this, a documentation places a demand on the seller to have sufficient knowledge of the object and its condition. While the documentation is conducted, we take lots of photos and possibly also movies to show moving parts and sounds. The documentation is digital and standardized. It is based on a specific test template that all our technicians and partners follow. Which version of the test template that is used depends on what type of object is being documented, the same type of template can, for example, not be used on a truck and a wheel loader as these objects have different functions and tools.
A documentation usually takes place at the seller’s property via a so called direct auction. During a direct auction, the item remains on site and Kvdpro's own professional technicians, sales representatives or partners come out to you and conduct the documentation. In special cases, documentation can be conducted at Kvdpro's own facility in Gothenburg or at our partners facilities which can be found from Umeå in the north to Malmö in the south.
Who conducts the documentation?
During a documentation, it is you, the selling customer who describes the condition of the object yourself. A documentation therefore places high demands on you having sufficient knowledge of the object you want to sell through Kvdpro and that you have very good track of its functions, parts and condition. The information that you describe is written down on an iPad by Kvdpro's own professional technicians, sales representatives or partners. Photos and films are also taken by Kvdpro's professional technicians, sales representatives or partners.
Where can I find information from the documentation?
The result of the documentation is presented on our website kvdpro.com. When an object is published on our website you can easily determine if it is documented or tested. This information can be found in the object view. The different objects will be marked either with a ” Documented by Kvdpro" symbol or a “Tested by Kvdpro" symbol. You can also see this symbol on the object page, once you have clicked on the object.
Can I be sure the documentation is correct?
We are very thorough during the implementation of our documentations. However, during a documentation, no test is carried out by Kvdpro's own professional technicians or partners. Kvdpro is an independent party between the seller and the buying customer and therefore it is of the utmost importance for us to always describe the object in such an objective and reality-anchored way as possible. The information provided by the selling customer is documented and written down by Kvdpro's technicians, sales representatives or partners. Kvdpro can therefore not guarantee that the information presented on our website kvdpro.com is correct regarding documented objects. As a customer you are entitled to make a complaint.
When purchasing items on kvdpro.com, the obligation to investigate always applies. As a buying customer you must therefore always be very careful to examine the item yourself before you pick up and drive away with it.
Does the seller need to participate during the documentation?
Yes, if you choose a documentation, you must participate. The seller describes the object's functions, parts and its condition for Kvdpro's own professional technicians, sales representatives or partners. A documentation therefore requires that the seller has very good knowledge of the object.
When do you recommend a test instead of documentation for me as a seller?
As a selling customer you always have the opportunity to choose between a documentation or a test. We at Kvdpro can, in certain cases, recommend one option over the other if you as a seller wish it. We recommend documentation for those who want a faster process with fewer elements and for your object to come out on auction quicker. The demand for documentation is usually greatest among our smaller corporate customers who want a simpler procedure. Documentation, however, places high demands on you as a seller as you need to have sufficient knowledge of the object that you are selling and its various functions and conditions.
