Who tests the objects you offer on your auctions?
The objects are tested by our own technicians who have many years of experience in machinery and heavy vehicles.
How does testing works?
KVDpro tests all objects sold through kvdpro.com unless otherwise stated. They undergo a so-called KVD test, which is performed in different ways depending on the type of the object. The test is standardized and performed by professional technicians, so we can be an independent party between the buyer and the seller. Depending on the type of the object, the test covers everything from engine, gearbox, brakes, fittings, tires and equipment and tools. The technician checks that the object's protocols from inspection, service history, documentation and other manuals are correct. We test and verify the vehicle's or machine's mileage or hour counter, and document any fault we find.
In order for you as a bidder to make sure that you have received all the information about the condition of the vehicle or machine you are bidding on, the documentation from the test will be presented in the object description.
Can I be sure that the description of an object is correct?
A test of an auction object usually takes about 2-4 hours and is very thorough. Our technicians try to find all remarks and faults so that the description of the object reflects the reality. However, there is no guarantee that our technicians will discover everything. You as a buyer must check what you buy at pickup or before the auction.
How does your rating / grade scale works?
During the KVD test, interiors, bodywork, tires and equipment are rated. It is assumed that certain wear is normal, depending on age and mileage / hours. The rating is based on the following descriptions:
Grade 1 - Repair Item: The vehicle or machine is very worn and has damage that requires repairs.
Grade 2 - Under normal condition: The vehicle or machine is worn and in poorer condition than an average vehicle or machine with the same mileage and hours and age.
Grade 3 - Normal condition: The vehicle or machine is normally serviced and the condition is in line with an average vehicle or machine with the same mileage and hours and age.
Grade 4 - Good condition: The vehicle or machine is well-maintained and in better condition than an average vehicle or machine with the same mileage and age.
Grade 5 - The vehicle or machine is very well maintained and in a clearly better condition than an average vehicle or machine with the same mileage and hours and age.
