Tested by Kvdpro
How does a Kvdpro test work?
If you, as a selling customer, choose to test your object it undergoes a so-called "Kvdpro test". It is digital and is written down on an iPad by Kvdpro's own professional technicians or our partners. The test is standardized and based on a specific test template that all our technicians and partners follow. Which version of the test template that is used depends on what type of object is being tested, the same type of template can, for example, not be used on a truck and a tractor as these objects have different functions and tools. During the test many different functions are checked. We are very thorough in the execution and a selection of the things that may be tested are brakes, gearbox, fittings, tires, equipment, gear, engine and much more. While the test is conducted, we take lots of photos and possibly also movies to display moving parts and sounds.
As a selling customer you can choose to submit your object to one of our 11 facilities around Sweden, the test is then performed at the facility. You can also let the object remain at your property during the auction, this is called a direct auction. During a direct auction the object is tested on site and Kvdpro’s technicians or partners come out to you.
Who conducts the test?
The test is carried out by Kvdpro's own professional technicians or partners. We have partners and facilities from Umeå in the north to Malmö in the south.
Which functions are tested on the object?
All functions and parts of the object are tested very carefully. We describe the condition of the object and always lift both strengths and deficiencies. Kvdpro is an independent party between the seller and the buying customer and therefore it is of the utmost importance for us to always describe the object in such an objective and reality-anchored way as possible. Depending on the type of object being tested, we go through various functions and parts, for example, we check the crane on an object with a crane. A selection of the things that may be tested are brakes, gearbox, fittings, tires, equipment, gear and engine. A thorough review of the object's protocol from inspection and service history is made. We also inspect and verify the vehicle’s or machine's kilometer counter or hour counter.
Where can I find information from the test?
The result of the test is presented on our website kvdpro.com. When an object is published on our website you can easily determine if it is tested or documented. This information can be found in the object view. The different objects will be marked either with a “Tested by Kvdpro" symbol or "Documented by Kvdpro" symbol. You can also see this symbol on the object page, once you have clicked on the object.
Can I be sure the test is correct?
We are very thorough in the implementation of our tests and we always do our utmost to describe the condition of the object. Kvdpro is an independent party between the seller and the buying customer and therefore it is of the utmost importance for us to always describe the object in such an objective and reality-anchored way as possible. Of course, various factors may occur and some detail or essential information may be missed during a test. As a customer you are entitled to make a complaint.
When purchasing items on kvdpro.com, the obligation to investigate always applies. As a buying customer you must therefore always be very careful to examine the item yourself before you pick up and drive away with it.
Does the seller need to participate during the test?
No, during a test the seller does as a rule usually not need to participate. However, it may happen that you need to be available when the test is conducted, for example by phone or at the property. You may need to be available if issues arise that affect the implementation of the test. For example, if other vehicles block the accessibility to the object being tested, whether weather conditions have affected the site, or if we have not received information that is decisive for us to be able to perform the test.
When do you recommend a test instead of documentation for me as a seller?
As a seller you always have the opportunity to choose between a test or a documentation. We at Kvdpro can, in certain cases, recommend one option over the other if you as a seller wish it. The demand for tests is usually greatest among our larger corporate customers with a large annual sales need, or for those customers who lack knowledge of the object's functions. We also recommend a test if the object has many functions and parts to be tested. The test does not require that you as the selling customer should have any prior knowledge of the object.
